White chocolate

White chocolate: smooth, subtle, and heavenly delicious

The creamy, smooth taste of white chocolate is especially appreciated by those with a sweet tooth. Because it contains no cocoa mass, white chocolate tastes less intense than dark chocolate and has a much lighter color. In pralines, white chocolate pairs perfectly with a wide variety of flavours — something we at Ovidias love to take advantage of.

How is white chocolate made?

Unlike dark and milk chocolate, white chocolate does not contain cocoa mass. As a result, it doesn’t have the typical brown color and is, technically speaking, not considered real chocolate. However, white chocolate does contain cocoa butter, which gives it a subtle hint of cocoa flavour.

Milk chocolate

Perfect for a wide range of flavour combinations

Of all types of chocolate, milk chocolate is undoubtedly the most popular. It is sweet, but not as sweet as white chocolate. While you can clearly taste the chocolate, its flavor is not as intense as that of dark chocolate. The perfect middle ground — and also ideal for use in our Belgian pralines.

How is milk chocolate made?

The base of milk chocolate is the same as that of dark chocolate: a blend of cocoa mass, cocoa butter, and sugar. To this mixture, milk is added in the form of condensed milk or milk powder. This explains why milk chocolate has a milder flavour than its dark counterpart.

Dark chocolate

Pure indulgence with dark chocolate pralines

Dark chocolate is usually a favourite among true chocolate lovers. Its flavour is more pronounced than that of milk chocolate and less sweet than white chocolate. However, dark chocolate doesn’t necessarily have to taste bitter; much depends on the cocoa bean.

Can you also savor dark chocolate like this? Then our dark chocolate pralines are definitely for you.

How is dark chocolate made?

Dark chocolate has the purest composition of all types of chocolate. Its base consists of a blend of cocoa mass, cocoa butter, and sugar. The cocoa content is relatively high, while the sugar content is lower than in milk or white chocolate. This gives dark chocolate the pure, intense flavour that many chocoholics love.
